Life (April 2005) After North I went to CU Boulder, graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Met my wife at CU, married in 1973 after graduatiion. Worked in petroleum refining engineering in Houston, TX. Went to Univ of Houston for an MBA, transferred to CU Boulder Graduate Business School. Received MBA in finance and marketing from CU Boulder in 1982. Went into marketing and sales in the high tech industry for the last 23 years. Have lived the past 17 years in Santa Clara County, CA. Two children, a daughter at the Univ of Calif and a son at the Univ of Calif. Have traveled through much of the US and Canada, Western Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America. I have been fortunate to have traveled to 74 different countries and most US states. (the following update was added March 2018 - I was scammed out of hundreds of dollars and stopped my subscription to classmates.com around 2006. I just re-joined for any 50th reunion information - using a temporary credit card number to avoid being scammed again. classmates.com was convicted of fraud by the state of WA and fined $15 million for scamming tens of thousands of people. So beware.) I retired to Tulsa, OK where my wife's extensive family is but plan to move back to CA to be closer to our children and grandchildren now that most of my wife's family has passed away. OK has a far lower retirement cost of living than CA does but it is too far away from our children and grandchildren to justify the cost of living savings. We continue to travel extensively as long as our health and physical and mental states remain viable. We plan to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary in Amsterdam this year. Unfortunately the original save the date for the 50th reunion was June 1st and so we booked our anniversary in Europe for August to allow a two month leeway but I will miss the reunion which I had planned to attend because the date was changed. There is a huge used book store here in Tulsa and I have been reading and enjoying a lot of old science fiction novels, especially from the 1970s and 1980s. I have been downsizing by digitizing thousands of photos and thousands of slides and hundreds of family videos. I've been documenting family history and genealogy. I spent many weeks, spread over a year, downsizing my parents house of 60 years of accumulation and documenting their history together. I permanently damaged a nerve in my right arm and gave up tennis. I developed frozen shoulder in my left shoulder and gave up golf. I got fat and gave up skiing. I have a permanently damaged ligament in my left ankle and fall frequently because of it. I have a warp on my right retina and a resulting blind spot and don't want to know what all that portends.
