David's Story
Life
Since high school I've moved around a lot. I waited until my late 20's to join the Army. It's probly been the best move i could of made for myself. I've finnaly got married at age 32, still don't have kids. i realy don't have time for them, the Army's has me deployed every other year. My last year I spent over there, my wife left me. So my life is alittle upside down right now. Well i look at it this way maybe she wasn't the one for me...and life goes on. So it time for to get back on the horse and have fun again...
School
I guess all I realy miss is my friends. I'm not quite sure if I would do it all over again but i know i would liked to asked girls out and be alittle more into school.
Military
i did the part time army crap for many years, but one day i was dump by the love of my life and desided to go active duty. i was i signed to the 101st airborne division for campbell kentucky. when i got there in jan 03 2001 i was told i was heading of to afganistan for a six month tour, witch turned out to 7 1/2 months. i went ...Expand for more
back to campbell for 6 months where we got ready for our secound deployment to iraq. we started in kuwait, i was one of the first into iraq when the war started. that was cool at first but i was responsible for a captain and 105 other soldiers because of my job. by the way my job is neuclar boi chemical war fair spec. i happy to say that nothing ever happen to have any of us. i will say that i have seen things in iraq that make me sick and i'm glad i come from a country that doesn't treat there people the way they did. it was a long four months to get to where i'm now in iraq. i sit in northern iraq waiting for the UN to get of there butt's and help us out. this deployment has been long a total of 8 months now and i'm getting a little burnt out. well i can say if i hadn't of made this change i my life i would probly still be working three jobs so i could live the life style the way i wanted. but now i have 1 year left and when i get out i will be able to live that life with one job because of what i have been taught by the government.
