David's Story
Does anybody actually read these things? On the off chance that somebody does, I guess I should update it, huh?
Anyway, on to the update...
Believe it or not, I am back in Fair Lawn. After living in a variety of places with my wife, we decided to move back to NJ to be closer to family. If you have kids, you understand the benefit of having extended family within short driving distance.
My wife Tracy and I have two children: one boy and one girl. Because my wife has her own business, she is able to stay at home with them during the day. She is a veterinarian who specializes in animal behavior. If I may brag a little bit, she really knows her stuff. She has appeared in newspaper articles, and on both TV and radio. If anybody has a crazy dog or cat, call up Oradell Animal Hospital and ask for a referral.
An update on my siblings, for those who know them...
Sister Beth is married with a daughter the same age as my son, and she is a stay-at-home mom. Brother Steven (twin #1) is finishing up law school and just got engaged to be married recently. Brother Michael has been working as a CPA for the past 2+ years, and he is still single.
Both of my brothers got the athletic genes in the family. They lettered in basketball and soccer at good old FLHS. ...Expand for more
They probably could have done so at baseball as well, but they decided that they both wanted to take the spring off to recover from the basketball season.
Sister got the academic genes. She graduated from Douglass College in three years, and would have been valedictorian if she had been a four year graduate. She worked in the computer software field until deciding to become a mom full time.
As for me, I am currently working for "Big Brown" (aka UPS) in the Automotive Systems department. In a nutshell, I work on systems and technologies which help to make all of those big brown package cars that you see everywhere run more efficiently. Here is a tip to save gas that UPS uses: if you are running errands, plan your route so that you make as few left turns as possible. Left turns require more gas since you have to yield to oncoming traffic. It may not seem like a lot, but if you have 70,000 package cars on the road, all those left turns add up!
