David's Story
Life
Grew up in Ste-Anne, Manitoba, where I spent the first 15 years of my life. Then moved out to attend a hockey-focused boarding school in Wilcox, Saskatchewan (Notre Dame). Didn't make the NHL, so I decided to go to school. Got a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, then a BComm in Finance from the University of Calgary. I worked at a Private Equity firm for a year before taking a job in Corporate Finance. After two and a half year...Expand for more
s of working and saving, I took the year 2003 off of work to go travelling the South Pacific (Fiji, New Zealand, Australia), visit my friends and family in Manitoba and hanging out with my friends in Calgary. In those twelve months, I learned how to surf, scuba dive, paraglide, kitesurf in Mexico and lots of other things. It was a great year, and I would suggest to anyone that they take a year off if possible. I'm back at work now, and enjoying my new job.
