David's Story
Since 1971, I've been married twice and divorced twice. I have two sons - David III (83) and Patt (85) both from my second marriage. My boys have both graduated from college, David in Business and Patt in Architecture. Patt recently returned to New Olreans to attend Tulane for his Masters Degree in Architecture. Allysion, his wife will be seeking here Masters in Fine Arts, as well. I have been a praticing architect since my graduation from ULL in 1976. My career has taken me throughout the southern tier of the US as well as Central & South America, the Carribean and a short tour of Europe. I currently reside in Metairie, Louisiana where I am currently designing and rebuilding the Orleans Parish Sheriffs' Office and Deten...Expand for more
tion Center. This project will take about 7 years to complete and will employ 2200 people with construction jobs and 425 permanent jobs after completion. This project is the largest ($350 million) and by far the most complicated project that I have designed and worked on in my 35 years as an architect. It is far more complicated that the stand alone resort hotels, by producing their own power and water in the event of a hurricane, that I designed and built in the Carribean.
My track days are over and I could not stay skinny forever...I lean toward golf these days, mainly for the frustration.
Trust all of the Berwick Alumni are doing well and look forward to hearing from you who maintain the on-line connection.
