David's Story
My life according to Story Wizard: I always wanted to be a baseball player or a musician when I grew up. Baseball dropped off my map of interests, but I am involved in music. I blow off steam by listening to heavy metal music and exercising...I relax by doing research, reading, engaging in witty repartee w/my son, or maybe watching a documentary...the wildest thing I ever did in school was be gullible. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have flexibility within structure, a healthy degree of autonomy, and a sense of humor. Do I have a hero? hmm, probably my dad. I've lived in southern NJ (married '78) and central IN (divorced early '87/remarried in '88). Relocated in 1986 cause my job in Millville relocated to central IN/my then-wife did not. Moved to southern Indiana so I could attend college. That didn't work out, but I'm real glad we moved here...The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again - Art Riggins, Rita Watts, Craig Barker, my grandparents. tough call. m, documentaries on various subjects, preparing for retirement, random acts of kindness. My biggest surprise? that I forgave my ex wife...If I could improve my home, I'd remodel most of it. If I won $100 million, I'd give a fistful to help others, then spend the rest on aforementioned remodeling and retirement, our son's college tuition. I hope my career continues for another decade or more. I hope to also fit music into a part-time slot...What happened to my first crush? it was in kindergarten, ask Debbie Johnson. My best friend would tell you I'm a strange little man. People who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a little offbeat, quiet and clever. I don't follow styles. I share my home with my wife, son, & 3 cats, which suits me fine. I get one do-over...what do you do differently? divorce my first wife as soon as she decided she didn't want kids...In 10 years, I hope to be younger than I am now. I'm going to get there by exercising body & mind & being involved in music.
