David's Story
Life
After graduating from SHS, I attended MIT and received an MS in Nuclear Engineering. I worked on space reactors in California, and joined the Atomic Energy Commission in Washington in 1966. I worked on cleanup of nuclear waste sites (including the damaged Three Mile Island reactor), and development of a new generation of nuclear power plants. I married Kay Erickson in 1967 and we have one daughter and two granddaughters.
In retirement, I'm doing volunteer work, attending Montgomery College part-time, singing with the National Philharmonic Chorale, and working out daily at the gym. I recently retired from my "retirement job" as a part-time House Manager at the Music Center at Strathmore.
