David's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Winona Vocational/Technical School for Machinist/Tool and Die Making. After completion, I enlisted in the US Navy. I attended the US Naval Class A School for Machinists. Vietnam extended my four year tour of duty an additional six months. When I got discharged, I returned home to Minnesota and started working in St. Paul, MN at American Hoist and Derrick, later named Amhoist and then a partner company called Waterous. I retired with 20 years of service when they moved out of state to Wilmington,NC. I worked at Northwest Airlines setting up, programing, and running computer operated machines, and as a structural Mechanic in t...Expand for more
he hangers. I retired early (62) from Northwest Airlines in April 2004. I have been working at another aircraft repair company to the present time. (July 2006)
My wife, Charlotte, and I married in 1967. We have five children, three girls, two boys. We also have five grandchildren. Char and I are still married. She works at home with her own business.
My hobbies or pastime are gardening, reading, photography, art, and computing. When I retire, I plan to continue those hobbies. Looking back, life has been good. The last class reunion, (40th) was fun. There was a good turnout and I hope to see more classmates at the next reunion. 45th/46th (July 2007)
