David's Story
Life
I graduated from University of Florida in 1976 with degree in journalism. I started working for a weekly newspaper, the Sebring News, in January 1977, assigned to the Lake Placid office.
In June 1979, I started working for the Tampa Tribune and I've been there ever since. I was a reporter in Sebring until 1993, when I moved to the Plant City office and I've been there ever since, with stints of varying lengths in Bra...Expand for more
ndon and Lakeland. I've been the editor of the Plant City office for about 10 years now.
I'm married with one son who graduates in May 2009 from Georgetown University's College of Medicine. I also have a stepson who is a lieutenant in the Navy who is at home with us now recovering from an injury he suffered in combat in Afghanistan. Fortunately, it's broken bones (hand and ankle) and he'll make a full and complete recovery.
