David's Story
Life: After high school, I joined the Air Force and was stationed in Little Rock AFB ARK, 308 Missile Maintainance, SAC TITAN TWO. (Set your watch back 20 years!) From there, I was stationed in Limestone AFB Maine (Was glad to be back in Maine, but boy was this rural!). I worked on Base water systems-this included housing water supply, upkeep of their olympic swimming pool, waste water and the B-52 demineralizer.
Married High School sweetheart Nancy Kay McGill in 1974. We have two wonderful daughters, Heather and Melissa. Both are now grown, married to the best son in laws you could ask for, and have started their own families. They have given us 5 grandchildren (so far)! They are so much fun and each has their own personality.
I've had lots of different jobs since I left the service in 1975. I worked for Nachci Ball Bering Company until they went out of business. Next, I worked for Port Harbor Mobil Oil as a Marine Mechanic and First mate on the Bobby D out of Po...Expand for more
rtland Maine, running oil to islands on the coast of Maine. Then I worked for Sears delivery (pretty tough on the back!)
In 1979, got a job with the Portland Water District and got my class 2 Waste water License and worked for them until 1999 and had to retire due to heath problems. (I don't miss the smell!)
Retirement allowed me time to study Gunsmithing (my first love} and I receivied a degree in Gunsmithing. I
read everything I can get my hands on firearms history and can research just about anything you would need to know about any gun. I have my Federal Firearms License.
