David's Story
Life
After graduation from the US Naval Academy I moved to San Diego, CA for 6 months of training which was followed by 3 years on USS CALIFORNIA (CGN36). After that I reported to USS NORMANDY (CG60) in Norfolk, VA. After 2.5 years I moved to shore duty for another 2 years and after 8 years on active duty I decided to get out of the Navy. I met my wife Julie in June 1996 and we were married in August 1998 at the United States Naval Academy Chapel. After leaving the Navy we moved to Dallas, PA where I went to...Expand for more
work in retail distribution, working for Lord and Taylor Department Stores. During this time we had our twins (Collin and Kelsey, June 2002). After 5 years with Lord and Taylor I took another distribution job with Dick's Sporting Goods near Pittsburgh, PA. We then had our third child (Shane, November 2003). That's right 3 kids in 16 months. Piece of cake. After 2 years in Pittsburgh I was asked to transfer to Indianapolis. Since September 2005 we have lived in Avon, IN just west of downtown Indianapolis.
