David's Story
Life
I am married and have three children ages 20, 18, 17. Two boys and a girl. I live in Minneasota now, but plan on moving back to Florida within the next two years. My current job is at FedEx. I enjoy it.
I lived in Minnesota and moved all around the suburbs of the Twin Cities. I moved to Salmon, Idaho in 1972. I really enjoy Idaho. Beautiful country side and I prefer it over big city life any day. I have spent my whole life moving. I moved back to Minnesota in 1975 but missed the mountain air so I moved back to Idaho in 1977. I graduated from Snake River High School in Riverside, Idaho in the year 1981. I immediately joined the Air Force, moved to Minnesota and waited for my enlistment date. I entered the military January 1982. My first assignment was Homestead AFB, 31st EMS maintenance docks working on F-4D aircraft. I received orders to Okinawa Japan in 1984. I spent two years in Okinawa, kadena AB, with the 18th EMS, maintenance docks working on RF-4C and F-15C/D aircraft. My next assignment was at Plattsburgh AFB, NY working on FB-111B bombers in the maintenance docks then transfered to the Tank Farm uploading and downloading external fu...Expand for more
el tanks. I met my wife Marci through her brother (whom was also in the Air Force). I was working in Correctional Custody at the time, and Marci's brother had asked me to be on his softball team. Marci and I were married on August 22, 1986 and were expecting our first child (son) together in April of 1987. A year later we had our daughter in March of 1988. In May of 1988 I received orders to move to Okinawa, Japan. We spent 4 years there. I was assigned to the 18th EMS, working in the Aircraft Maintenance docks. In 1992 we moved back to the U.S. to Eglin AFB, Florida to be exact. Beautiful warm area, with white sand beaches and emerald green water. I loved it there and hope to go back soon. I left the Air Force in June 1995 and entered the Police Academy. There weren't a lot of jobs to be had so we decided to move to Minnesota. I worked for a security company (Wackenhut) for about six years then decided it was time for a change. I went back to School at Brown College and also started working for FedEx Express. My hope is to finish my college degree and become a manager with FedEx. I also plan to move back to Florida soon.
