David's Story
Been here in Taipei, Taiwan, since January of 1999 teaching English. Love it that I made the decision to do so and wish I had decided to do it earlier in life. Have made friends from all over the world and travelled around Asia learning different ways of life/cultures, not just the Taiwanese way of life. Teach at private Elementary schools and do private 1 on 1 tutoring (and groups) at night and recently landed a job with the Taiwan Federal Post Office doing a group classes. sidency and plan to stay longer. Just recently met my parents in Thailand to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary visiting both Bangkok and Pattaya. I have been to Thailand about 10 times in my 9 years here since it is only a short 3.5 hour flight and and a cheap holiday trip. I love it there and in the future will go there and open a small business, likely a small hotel/bar on Pattaya Beach where the weather is always wonderful!!
I don't miss the cold Canadian winters, and I wouldn't trade anything for the time I have had here.
