David's Story
Life
I'm living in Albany Oregon with my wife. I work at Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. I work as a technician. I have a son, Andy who lives in Beaverton close to his mom and brother.
Here is a description of the connections to the schools/entities I am attached to:
Apollo Computer. I worked in the Beaverton, Oregon field office. I was bought by Hewlett-Packard in 1989 and moved to The Wilsonville Office. This office moved to 'Portland' (Carmen Road exit off I-5). I then went to Corvallis to ride the inkjet wave. I now work in Halo with high-end videoteleconferencing systems.
I attended Collins Elem, Ford Jr Hi, and Franklin Pierce. I have friends in the other schools that border FP.
I attended Gonzaga taking an EE program and took all computer-related and programming classes offered. I went to UW for two quarters in an attempt to finish my degree.

met people and left resumes. I got a job with Applied Engineering which was a division of Showalter Instrument Company. I worked there 4 months in the Portland office. Not exactly professional. I cannot put anymore in print about them. After Applied Engineering Died, I went to work at Western Star Business Systems. Western Star was the company next door. I had already made arrangements to get training on their systems and was due to contract their maintenance through Applied Engineering. I worked there until a former co-worker referred me to Apollo Computer. I got a job in Beaverton with Apollo with a major raise!
In 1989 HP bought Apollo. I went to the Wilsonville office. In 1991 I got a job in inkjet in Corvallis.
Lately I have been working in Halo telepresence systems. July 28, 2011 HP sold the business unit to Polycom. I now have over 28 years seniority in a 22 year old company. I just got my Gold retiree badge from HP.
