David's Story
Life
Graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1978 with BA's in Old Testament Literature and Religious Education. Went on to post-grad at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Ordained in United Methodist Church in June of 1983.
Married Bonnie Smart of South Charleston, Ohio, in September 1979. We have three children: Sara, born 1983; Lindsay, born 1986; and Evan, born 1990. We have served churches in Cincinnati, Lockington, Brookville, Zanesville, Springfield, Johnstown, and Belpre, Ohio. In June 2006 we moved to Batavia. It's nice to be "almost" home again!
Hobbies include: Old Time Radio (programs and memorabilia); camping and hunting.
My daughter Sara (age 25 graduated from Otterbein College in June '06 with a major in Art. She's managing a store in Johnstown, Ohio, now and living in Columbus.
Lindsay (age 22) began college at Washington State Community College but is now attending Southern State Community College (Hillsboro), pursuing a degree in Accounting. Will graduate in June, 2008

I'm now in my 30th year of ministry and currently serving the Faith United Methodist Church in Batavia.
I've had a chance to see some old classmates since moving back (well, I don't mean old in THAT sense! LOL), but not too many of you. Would love to hear from some of you if you get a moment.
UPDATE: In June 2014, we moved 14 miles from Batavia to Goshen, Ohio, where I pastor the Goshen United Methodist Church. Since my last update, this is now my 37th year of active ministry. Bonnie is still working at Meridian Bioscience, where she was recently promoted to Operator 2. Sara, our oldest, will be getting married in August 2015 to a great guy, Jon Forgy. Both are in the Columbus, Ohio, area. Lindsay is transitioning between jobs, still working part time at Amazon, and full time at Innotrac (both in Hebron, KY), and she is still living at home. Evan is working now for Jeff Wyler Kings Nissan, and he, too, is still living at home.
