David's Story
Life
I met My Spouse
in the deli at City market. Now I have two sons 8 granddaughters and one grandson.
My Job
Started out after High school in the USAF was to be nuclear weapons specialist, but class was full went to second choice. that was radio communication. Went to Spain, got to help with the Apollo moon landings with the communications.
Next tour was to northern Italy, Doing Como for the US Army there.
Out of the Air force, tried collage at CU at Colorado springs. went to work at Mountain Stated Telephone and Telegraph.
Late 1970's I got in to ...Expand for more
motorcycle racing, 125 and then 250CC. Got to race at most of the tracks west of the Mississippi. I got to meet most of the top racers of that time. top ranking was 1st in 125cc class western division. That december I broke my knee set me out that next year. the next december I broke my hip. Well that took me out of racing for good, STILL RIDE though.
Back to the phone jobs; Stayed there 45 years. Worked in Colorado Springs, Dillon, Grand Junction. with Short tour at Bell labs Columbus works.
Now retired as of Jan 29 2016.
Now we are in Grand Junction.
