David's Story

Life I joined the army in Feb 93 and was stationed in Hawaii. Living in Hawaii was probably the most fun that I have ever had in my life . I ended up coming back to Claremont, for some reason, and getting married(3 years). I will just say it was a learning experience. After the divorce I moved a lot. Dover for 6 years, now I am in Newmarket. It's awesome. Laid back. It's not too bad down here. I miss Claremont or at least the upper valley some days. I went to school for Computer Science for a little while, but never finished. Something I kick myself in the arse for everday. I am working as a plumber for Hart Plumbing and Heating. It's a GREAT job and I don't mind it most of the time. I am on myspace.com/icculus74. Icculus is a phish song for those of you who may see my car down here in the seacoast area. I get asked all the time what my license plate means. Check out the page and all my photos. I have had a pretty good life. Even though it sucks right now that Roger is gone. I miss that dude. A word of advice... Talk to your friends everyday. All of them! If you have one friend that you have had since kids, like Roger and I, make sure you talk to them. Even if they get on your nerves at times or you aren't talking at the moment. Make up. Trust me. You will wish you spent more time with them if you don't. I saw him in November ...Expand for more
and he passed Dec. 21st. School I hated HS. Kids are assholes. Workplace Filling out TPS reports OH OH OH OH OH Military I went to basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. INFANTRY, HUAH!!Afterwards I was stationed at Schoffield Barracks Hawaii in 3/21 Inf. Div. C/Co. Oh that sucked. Just kidding. I was in friggin Hawaii! I miss Hawaii a lot and wish I had stayed. I made it to E-3, got into some trouble, had a bunch of awards, went to Air Assault school, etc...I did a lot for those a-holes. Did I mention I was on the Funeral Detail. This was the most honorable job anyone can get. Except for Honor Guard, which is the 21 gun salute for Arlingtion National Cemetary. I participated in the 21 gun salute on about 10 different occasions. Most of them for WWII vets. It's a hard job. Especially when the widow is still alive and crying right near you. Taps got me everytime. As it does every soldier. Most of the time though we were in the field training to go to war. Blowing things up, shooting things up, flying in Huey's/Blackhawks/C-130s/CH-47s, humping through gulches, over the mountains, sweating my butt off, and eating/sleeping/marching in the non-stop winter rain. I miss the army but wouldn't join right now. Or at least re-enlist for Infantry. I would go back if I could get a computer programming job. And go back to Hawaii!!
