David's Story

Life So for $50 bucks U S, I guess I am entitled to put something in here. Bio: Left Port Hope, not so good a move. Left cobourg, good move. Left London, maybe good or bad, not sure. Left Ottawa, real good move. Retired at 55, best move of all. Live in a place that is so small you can't get here from there and spend all of my time either fishing or snowmobiling which is a pretty good move no matter how you slice it. Motto "Keep life simple, that way you don't forget why you're living it". Best known quote in print "There are two types of dogs, Labrador Retrievers and all that other crap God practiced on, got wrong and us Lab owners never waste our time talking about". Married, kids, grand kids all of which are a good move also (Just in case my wife reads this). Never won a major lottery but still trying. Apart from deaths, never had a major loss either so I guess life is in balance and ain't so bad when you consider the alternatives. Write part time for an outdoors magazine and write hate mail to Liberals in government whenever they annoy me which seems to be almost daily now. ts outside the garage because my snowmobiles and fishing boat live inside. I once slept in that boat because I made the mistake of telling my wife that her and the boat were equal in my eyes after she accused me of loving it more than her. I thought the come back was funny! Good thing my boat had a top on it. My life goals are to live long enough to be a burden to my children (pay back time) and to have acheived a reputation as a "tough old coot" before I die. All things considered, life has been pretty damned good to me. Moved again in Sept 12 to Terrace Bay Ont. Real good move, got in before the housing market went nuts with the reopening of the mill. Lake view home with a triple deck for $120K. Only problem is that the damned black bears wander up from the golf course and chase me and the dog inside. My neighbours are used to it so I guess I will adapt too. Beutifull little town, everything a person needs within a couple of Kms and the best hunting and fishing in Ontario. Beaches, golf course, harbour, hiking and snowmobile trails. Like living in a resort all year. Think I will live here until I start to drool and need diapers again.
