David's Story
Life Since Enloe
I graduated from Wake Tech on Friday, August 15, 1975, and started my state government career as a Staff Accountant with the NC Utilities Commission on Monday, August 18. God is so good.
I also served 14 years (July '71 - July '85) in The NC National Guard as a Finance Specialist, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before relaizing there was more to life than camping out in the woods at Ft. Bragg one weekend a month.
Regretfully, Sandy and I divorced in 1994. We have both since re-married. We have 2 children , Jennifer (soon to be 30) and Jordan (27). They both graduated from Enloe, '97 and '99, respectively.
My wife, Pam, is a graduate of Gardner-Webb College with a Music degree, and is currently a claims adjuster with Nationwide Insurance Company. She and I are members of Fairview Baptis...Expand for more

I recently (2/8/06) had total hip replacement surgery and thanks to an Almighty God am doing exceptionally well with my recovery and rehab.
On June 26, 2006, God once again extended His love, grace, and mercy to my family as He had His hand in the birth of my grandson, James Wyatt Cooke, 1 lb. 10 oz., yep, that's right, 1 lb, 10 oz. Wyatt was 12 weeks premature as Jennifer developed a condition called pre-eclampsia. The only 'treatment' for her condition was to take the baby by emergency c-section. Long story short - Wyatt was born, stayed 9 or so weeks in the Neo-Natal unit at Womens' Hospital in Greensboro and is now a healthy 2 year old.
My mother, Katherine Riddle Poole, passed away on July 4, 2008 having lived over 95 years. My father passed away in May 1977 at age 65.
