David's Story
Life
After graduating from AHS, I went to WPI and graduated in 76 with a degree in engineering. I worked at Wang Labs until 90 and have been with a design consulting company, IDEO, since then. For many years our studio was in Lexington, MA. In 2007 we moved the studio to Central Square in Cambridge.
In 1983, I married Gail Rogers (class of 76). We have 2 children; Carla is 26, lives in Groveland and manages Advance Autoparts in Salem, NH, Nick is 24, lives in Salem, MA and also works for Advance Autoparts as a manager in Everett.. We have lived in Georgetown since 83 and have had a vacation home in Bartlett, NH since 07.
I'm still a motorhead and into bikes. I ride a Ducati and an MV Agusta. Haven't stayed connected to many classmates. I occasionally ride with Russ Arsenault (class of 74) and have ridden once or twice with Jim Hamilton (class of 71)....Expand for more
They are both still in Andover. I stay in touch with a handful of others from our class by e mail and facebook (Laine Prevost, Karen Henderson, Dave Conroy) but in general I'm not so great at staying connected. That said, if someone drops me a line I write back...
On June 17, 2011, I attended a reunion at the Andover Country Club. It was the 40th reunion for the Class of 71 and they invited our class (72) to join. I haven't been to any of our reunions so it was the first time I had seen many people since we graduated. There were lots of people from 71 and a handful from 72. It was fun to reconnect. Many of the people I had first met in elementary school but didn't really connect with during high school. It was so funny that we still remembered each other. I'm planning to attend our 40th reunion next year and hope that lots of our class members join.
