like wow, man!myspace!my!space!find me at !my!space!face!book! griswald school, mr. dyer, mrs. redmain, mrs cypriano, mrs brown-flush her down! mr. reagan, thats thats thats a de-mare-it!!and the cooties i got from touching all the girls when we square danced. my doctor is still treating me for those! the memories are wonderful and its a thrill to hear from anyone. milk was a nickle, lunch 35 cents. blue milk cards and yellow lunch cards...and snap-e-tacos were 7 for a buck. riding bikes there for lunch was fun. i never won a hot sauce eating contest, but i tried. it was a sad day when we said goodby to mrs ballenger. the big red balloon! cant forget watchin that on the last day of school before summer. mr. schlegal was cool. who has a class picture? pah, pah, paul, no,no-no, pull, pull-ver, dave pulver, thats a demerit!!..thats a demerit!! what i would give for my official demerit count from mr. reagan,,,priceless!! maybe we can get an excavator to dig for artifacts under his classroom! room 15? i cant recall any girls getting demerits. mr. reagans favorite football team... the arkansas razorbacks! and getting sent to the office. my, oh, my. i can recall that clearly. is that clear?? as the honorable jack dyer would say. sitting in the office with the door open listening to the cars drive by on san bernardino rd. remember the thumping noise the tires made going over the concrete? for those of you that got in some office time, im sure you do. mr. dyer would just shake and tremble when he scolded us in his office. his bottom lip would actually twitch. i got 5 swats total. 2 on the first Offence, 3 on the 2nd. i cant recall the violations involved. i can see his bottom lip quiver to this day. his honor also had a flattened baseball bat in his chambers. he had 2 paddles that i recall.. the regular one, and the one with the holes in it. am i missing any details here scott? , and mr.treft? how about those things we made out of paper towels in the bathroom? we would slap um against the wall for a pop?? had to be wet if i remember right. the teachers lounge? i remember every time that door would open a big cloud of smoke would roll out. and they told us they went in there to run the ditto machine. what was the janitors name? how about that stuff they used to kill the grass to make lines in the field? that stuff stunk. im sure the epa put a stop to that stuff long ago. so lets get back to discussing square dancing. i can see that record going around and ar...Expand for more
ound on that phonograph. lets see... hows that go?? STOP WHERE YOU ARE GIVE YOUR PARTNER A SWING.... SWING THAT LITTLE GIRL BEHIND YOU.. NOW SWING YOUR OWN & LA-DEE-DA-DEE-DA-DE-DA AND AND ALAMAND LEFT WITH THE CORNER GIRL! i remember cringing every time i had to touch a girl during square dancing. promanading. there was nothing worse. having to touch girls at that age was a cardinal sin. all that changed in middle school, but thats irrelevant here. girls had cooties and i knew it. the boogie man lived on my block after dark also, there was to much junk under my bed for him to fit under there. besides, i had mom leave the hall light on all night to keep him away. thats another demerit! i can picture mr. reagan walking around with that whistle in his mouth right now! a gang of us troublemakers were teasing the girls outside the girls restroom one day. the unk. teacher grabbed me by the arm and cleared the girlsroom out and gave me a guided tour of it. that was degrading. but i will take credit for tormenting the girls however. remember the worms? when it rained they converged on the sidewalks. and who of you got to open and shut the windows?? with the hook on the pole? i cant recall getting to do it much. i wonder why? pat! pa-pah..paul, no-..paulver..dave paulver ah.. pulver! thats a demerit!! dave pulver..thats two dee-mare-its! remember the folded covina valley school district report cards? i dont. the bike racks were cool. we split outta there fast after school. trash can day was the best. we would ride down the streets knocking over metal trash cans. sometimes 3 or 4 could be hit and it would make a helluva racket. all the better with lids on um. everyone under the desk...RED ALERT!! that was funny. yellow alert we had to go out in the field? or the other way around? who remembers the principal prior to the honorable jack dyer?? mr. marshalais?? im sure its spelled wrong. carole, you remember dont ya? mrs.lavine was so sweet. and mrs. dye? she was alright. we need more names here. !my!space! and singing on the stage! it was very difficult trying to sing with a GIRL next to ya! yuk! anyway, im done for now. wait.. no im not. when my grandpa let my cousin sit in the front seat of the car, i would sit right behind her and tie knots in her hair that hung over the back of the seat.[i wore gloves] do i get credit for that in the official griswald elementary school troublemakers club? im done for now, i gotta get ready to go square dancing tonight!! pulverizer
