David's Story
Graduated for Phoenix Camelback High School in 1980. Went to ASU, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering. Spent my career in tech, working many years in telephony (land-line PBX, land-line central office, and cellular), then working in cloud storage, doing system performance analysis and testing.
Married 25+ years to the woman I love with two adult daughters, both of whom also are engineers.
Spend most of my free time reading (40+ books a year), learning foreign languages (Spanish a...Expand for more
nd Arabic) and dead languages (Ancient Greek and Coptic, mainly), working through physics textbooks, tinkering on several Linux computers, and playing a Spanish table-top role playing game (Aquelarre - sort of Dungeons and Dragons set in Medieval Spain).
I've lived in 6 US states and in Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom. I've spent the last 25+ years living in the city of Chicago.
I've been to the much of Western Europe and Canada, Türkiye (İstanbul), the Peoples Republic of China, and the USSR (while it still was the USSR).
