My Spouse
Through a friend. We had just returned home from Army Reserve Basic and advanced training in Ft. Lewis Washington.
My Pets
Two champion line French Briards. A heart wrapped in fur.
My Kids
An extraordinary daughter that lives too far away and is loved beyond words.
My Job
Very challenging trying to keep this country in hotdogs and lunchmeat.
Military
Joined the 826th Ord. Co. Army Reserve to avoid being drafted when student clasification expired. Unit was one of two Wisconsin ...Expand for more
units called up for active duty in Vietman. Left for RVN the day of my 1st anniversary of marriage. Set up camp at Long Binh. Supplied amunition to the troops in the jungle by truck, barge and helicopter. Our depot was a favorite target of the VC. Found tunnels within 50 yards of our depot office. In country for 11 months and 17 days. Some injuries but only one KIA during tour of duty. Left for RVN from Ft. Knox, KY and returned to the U.S. at Ft. Riley, KS. Not welcomed home by anyone other than family.
