David's Story

Life I've been retired for the past 10 years,and my wife is also retired. We moved to the western suburbs of Miami in 2000 after 37 years in CT. Since we both speak Spanish we can get along well in this area. Both of our daughters live here also, and are about a five minute drive away. We have three granddaughters that we pick up from school, take to ballet, piano lessons, swiming lessons, track practice, choir practice, etc: and help with their homework. This time around the science projects are fun - I get to help but I don't get stuck with the grade. I'm also president of a small local association and work on the finance committee of a large master association, and serve as a lector at church one or two Sundays a month. . n't miss shoveling snow, fuel oil bills, or property tax on my cars, but I don't look forward to another hurricane either! I'd like to hear from you if you were in any of my classes. Is anyone else down here in FL? das Military Spent 4 and a half years in the USAF. 6 months in Texas, 1 year in Spokane Washington, and 3 years in Madrid Spain Worked in a communications group, had a Top Secret/Crypto Access Security clearance - I guess they didn't know me very well. usually worked rotaing shifts - 3 days (8 to 4) 3 mids (4 to 12) 3 mids ( 12 to 8) and 72 hours off. After awhile you just forget which day it really is. You wake upin the winter at 6 and it's dark and you start walking around asking people if it's am or pm......no I don't miss it
