David's Story
Life
I figure at this rate I'm about one third finished with my life story. That's right I intend to live to a "ripe" old age of 146. After graduation from the Dump on the Hump I completed my journalism degree at Kansas University and went into paper sales in Houston. Pretty exciting so far, I know, but wait. Obviously, I never improved past an 8 handicap to play pro golf, so I started my own printing company, Vanguard Press, and I guess it's a success after 22 years. It's paid for a lot of nice trips to Europe. I highly recommend central and eastern Europe. The people are interesting and very beautiful. The languages are...Expand for more
almost impossible to master so I could only speak the basics to avoid the "ugly American" moniker. I learned to speak French from 5th grade through college and moved to Texas where it became clear that the Mexicans don't speak French. So I learned some Spanish and recently traveled to Paris with my wife and daughter, where I realized my French really sucks. Even the most basic phrases from my mouth had the Parisians questioning me as if I had dirt in my mouth. Anyway, life is good and it pays to be honest and hard working. I hope to hear from some of you characters, and you know exactly who you are.
