David's Story
Life
For the last 8 years I've been a designer working on a multi-national magazine. Sounds impressive, eh? Also have a freelance business doing the odd photoshoot, illustration or layout that strikes me as time permits. We presently live in the Seattle area. Been married since 2003 to the love of my life. I've been extremely busy with work, travel, friends and sneaking in photo shoots whenever I can. Still going dancing, concerts and such on most weekends. Spend a fair amount of time traveling (mostly the Caribbean - but manage to make it across the pond to Europe when possible). No children yet - planning on a couple more years of travel before we settle down long enough to have some - then take them along with us when we travel.
College
Attended WSU from 1986 - 1990. Finished off a BFA with emphasis in photography and design. Lived in Rogers Hall mostly (with one semester at Goldsworthy when I first got there and one semester in Stephenson Sout...Expand for more

Workplace
Presently I am a designer for a multinational magazine with a circulation of something over 11 million worldwide (that's what the person in charge of our circulation tells me). I still do photography on the side (mostly concert photography and some art/fetish/abstract work). I'm told I'm pretty good and people pay me for my art so I can't complain.
Last job was as Creative Director for a company that handled 75% of the restaurant advertising for the Seattle Times for a couple of years (yes, I ate out A LOT during that time!). One hell of a fun job.
Before that I was an Art Director for 4 years doing "in-house" design for a grocery chain (Associated Grocers - I handled accounts like Larry's Markets and Thriftway).
Started out of college as a portrait photographer (first job I could get slightly related to what I studied in college). Then worked for 4 years as a designer and press operator for a local print company.
