David's Story
Since graduating from college I have worked for MetLife for about two and a half years. I then started my teaching career. I taught 4th grade in Bedford,NH, then 8th grade in Merrimack,NH for four years. Getting tired of the commute I decided to apply for jobs. I was offered a job teaching high school in Bermuda. It was the best five years of my life. After moving back to Rhody I was lucky enough to find a teaching position in Coventry. I teach at the high school and now have taught for 30 years. tball for Dave's Marketplace for 10 years and coached and played softball for 5 years in Bermuda. I have had the joy of keeping in touch with my former students in New Hampshire in Bermuda. It has made teaching even more special to me. I found out I made a difference. I currently live in Hope Valley, RI and am lucky enough to have a cottage at Roy Carpenter's Beach in South Kingstown that I purchased in the early 90's. It is my favorite place to be and I look forward to late May each year.
I was lucky to have married in 1996. Unfortunately it didn't work and I have been single since 2003.
