David's Story
Life
After High school I opted out of a music scholarship at a Golden Valley Lutheran College. I moved to upstate New York instead. Then I returned to MN in late 1974 to go to school for electronics. I met my wife Diane in 1975 we were married August 1976. We managed a 200 unit apartment complex in Roseville for 10 years.as a second job. In 1986 had Joshua, our first child and we bought our first home in Rosemount, MN in 1987. We moved to Mankato in 1993 and bought a 1950's house that needed an overhaul, but it sat on a double lot with a wooded ravine. So.... the last twelve years we've spent restoring it and adding to it. The original owners had a rock garden in the ravine and we have been uncovering some of it little at a time. We now have five children ages 22 to 10 yrs. Our two oldest just finished their second year of college.

I worked as shift leader of a plastics factory in North Chili. After graduating from Technical college I worked at a televison manufacturing plant in New Brighton for two years. l Offices in South Minneapolis. Micro Component Technology came next, where I started a component evaluation department and worked on component and system failure analysis for five years.
Then I switched careers while still at MCT and moved into Marketing Communications as Audio Visual manger. I produced video, programming and training materials for MCT. Two years later I moved to Triad Communications and became a producer. I produced the first video on HIV - Protecting the Healthcare Worker. Triad sold 350 copies to OSHA back in 1984. I went on to freelance, producing videos for companies in the twin cities. In 1989 a friend dared me to go into sales.
I have been in sales since 1989. I started with Metagram America, moved to US West Cellular, then Cellular One. In 1992 joined Cellular 2000/Midwest Wireless until 1998 when I took a break from sales. For two years I worked as a finish carpenter, restoring a hundred year old home. In 2000 I worked for eight months in full time ministry with a local church. In 2001 I opened my own business, a wireless dealership I have four employees. I represent Cingular, T-Mobile, Nextel and Dish Network. I also work for a software company doing sales and marketing.
