David's Story
In 1979, I got married to a woman that I thought would love me forever. Our oldest, a son, was born on 19 June 1980. In August of 1980 I enlisted in the Army, and we went to Germany after training in Texas. While in Germany, she got pregnant again. While we were back in Maine, after the passing of my father, she told me she wasn't going back with me. My daughter was born 21 June 1983. After I left the Army in 1984, I went back to Maine. She and I divorced in 1985.

ioned at Field Station Kunia on Oahu from 1987 to 1993. Our eldest son, Joseph, was born 10 November 1987, and our youngest, Brandon, was born 17 April 1989. Both at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. When we left Hawaii, I was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia from 1993 to 1995 and then last I was stationed at Fort George G. Meade, MD from 1996 until I retired in 1998.
I've been working as a computer technician since then. Most recently, I've been working at the US Senate in Washington, DC. I worked at the Senate IT help desk for General Dynamics from July 2002 until August 2009 as a contractor. I was then hired as the IT manager for one of the Senators, and am currently working in that position.
