David's Story
Life
After High school, I went off to school to play baseball. I quickly learned that I probably wasn't going to make it into the pro's. So I did something I rarely did in high school and opened my school books. I found that I had a sort of natural liking for computer programming and computer networks. Another topic that I started to like, that really started to scare me was math. After Calculus, 3 different programming languages and lots of baseball practice, I finally finished school. After that, I got a job working as a software developer. I wrote software utilities that exported data from older systems. I moved from there to my current job, where I'm the Information Systems Manager for a Fire Department. I'm in charge of all technology that relates to the enterprise wide area network. er thought during high school that I would be a computer geek, working with professional firefighters. I am also a certified Microsoft Systems Engineer. On top of this, I'm the co-owner of a consulting / software developement company. We do work for Fire Departments around the area that can't afford to hire full time technical staff. We also create software to help Fire Departments manage their resources more effectively.
I just finished my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Keller School of Management. My emphasis was in Information Systems. I graduated June 10,2005
On June 26, 2004 I got married to Jennifer Safko. She grew up in Graham and went to Bethel High School. We have been together for about 5 years now. We don't have any kids, but plan to have one in the near future
