David's Story
Life
After high school I went to Maple Wood Community Collage and Central Missouri State. I receive an aircraft mechanic and pilotÂs license after collage and worked at KC municipal airport for a few years. I married Pam Rowe in 1978 and we had 2 daughters. We moved to New Mexico in 1980 and then I joined the Air Force in 1981. I retired from the AF in 2002 and moved back to the KC area where I work as the Quality Assurance Manager for Kansas City Aviation Center in Olathe.

Master Sergeant David O. Tucker is a command G081 system manager assigned to Headquarters, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
MSgt Tucker was born on 16 March 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1974 and then went to Maple Woods Community College (MWCC) to become an airframe and powerplant certificated mechanic. After MWCC, he attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri (CMSU) to major in aircraft maintenance and minor in avionics maintenance. In 1981, after working for 4 years on civilian aircraft, he joined the Air Force. After basic training he went on to aircraft maintenance technical school at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas where he was an honor graduate.
His first duty assignment was to the 437th Organizational Maintenance Squadron, Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina where he was a C141 crew chief for five years. He left the flight line in October 1986 to join the newly formed AICARS (G081) office.
In May of 1997, Sergeant Tucker left South Carolina after 16 years for Scott Air Force Base, IL. There he was assigned as one of three command G081 system managers.

Assisted AT&T technicians, repaired the G081 satellite dish after hurricane Hugo
Converted 40 Air National Guard bases from CAMS to G081
Sergeant Tucker is married to the former Pamela Rowe of Gladstone, Missouri. They have two daughters, Teresa and Stephanie.
