Since graduation, I attended DeVry Institute in Kansas City. In 1988 I started working at BASF(American Cyanamid) as an Instrumentation Technician. Basically I fix stuff. In 1993 my mother died of ALS. In 1996 I married Debbie Parsons(1981). We have always been best friends since junior high. We have a cat named Maui, like the island. In 2001 God took the desire to drink away- finally! I am sure those of you who know me remember what I used to be like. Not a pretty picture. Since then I have started my second life. The first thing on my list was to obtain my ham radio license. I am an Extra Class operator and a volunteer examiner for the FCC. My call sign is KC0LFW. Then Deb and I went on a long vacation sailing in the British Virgin Islands. The next few years brought sailing lessons and scuba certifications, workshops and endless books. In 2004 we quit our jobs, sold our house, most of our possesions, bought a sailboat named Kabuki and went cruising in the Bahamas for a year. The trip was wonderful but we realized we did not like living aboard full time, so we sold the boat and moved back to Hannibal. Since then, I have gone back to BASF.
