David Wallace's Story
Dear whomever out there,
I had many dreams, many loose friendships, and a few haphazard memories of Galt. Girls whom I dared not speak to; guys whom I despised; teachers whom I suspected of many weaknesses.
I have worked most of my life as a development worker since the mid-80s. I've enjoyed the adventure of it - living in Mozambique, Chad, or (Nowadays) Nepal. Beleiving in something that I was doing and struggling against the politics that are the reality of these places. Danger was sometimes apparent.
Meeting many new people, often, and all over the world.

e been to have not grown roots in a place like Sherbrooke where I come from. Perhaps married a local girl and setttled into a calm routine.
I wish that I could go back and make invisible threads of connections with the crushes I had but never consumated or the people I admired but never approached at Galt in my time there. Lost opportunities perhaps attenuated by time.
It woudl be great to be in contact with some of you, out of curiosity or out of some sense of masochism - we all look funny now don't we - not those spry young things full of hope.
