David's Story
Life
Well, I've never really "created" a bio for Classmates.com as of yet but I guess I'll give it my best shot.
We left Rogers, Arkansas way back in '92and found ourselves back here in the Wolverine State (GO BLUE!)
when my Dad suffered some health problems and my Brother decided that we should all move back to Michigan so he could help take care of my folks.
Strangely enough me made it back to the same little town that we lived in when I was going to elementary school about five or six miles from where I actually grew up.
I never married, not that I didn't have the chance to. It's just that I've seen so much heartbreak and divorce within my family that I never really wanted to take that chance.
I went into the Air Force after High School and was stationed down in Jacksonville at Little Rock Air Force base. So much for joining the military and seeing the world. (ha,ha!)
I attended Northwest Vo-Tech in Springdale, AR. ...Expand for more
for a couple of years. Then later on in the late '80's I attended North Arkansas Community College right there in Rogers, AR and graduated with an Associate in Arts Degree and then transfered to U of A (GO HOGS) for a couple of semesters. Unfortuantely I was holding down two full-time jobs and going to school full-time. Results: Flunked out my last semester.
Presently, I'm still living in Howell,
ichigan and I am an Independent Contractor for an Automobile Dealer/Hauler out of Redford, MI.
Not the most glorious job in the world, but for the time being I'm fairly satisfied with it.
I haven't returned to Rogers since we left but I've heard it's really grown. I guess all they needed was that Airport that they fought so hard for the last few years that I lived there.
I'll get back there one of these days I'm just not sure if it will be as a resident or a tourist. I'd love it to be as a resident. We've just got to see what happens.
