David's Story
Life
Graduated from Bass High in 1962.
Went to Emory Undergrad and graduated
1966. Tired of Emory so went to Tulane Med School in New Orleans. In Army then, trained and lived in El Paso, Tx for 4 years and subsquently
landed in Houston, Tx. Ran the Communicable Disease Division for the
County Health Dept for 5-6 years and backed into Emergency Medicine which I have practiced for almost 20 years.
Offered a position in SE Alabama 12-13 years ago but was single then
and didn't want to be stuck in a small city.
Married briefly in El Paso and stayed happily single until when I lease expected it, 18 years I met my wife who's from Colombia South America. With 2 small girls offered the Alabama job again and suddenly a small, conservative, family-oriented city looked good so we moved to Dothan, AL. C...Expand for more
urrently facing the challenge of living with a 15 and a 14 year old adolescent girl!!
Am really interested in locating and renewing old and pleasant friendships.
An update in 2012. Semiretired now. After my second neck surgery it was time to leave the Emergency Room full time so do out patiend clinics part time. We've finally had time to travel and have some fun away from the empty nest. Jennifer, our oldest graduated from UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) a year ago and has worked for the school since. Recently Jen decided to continue to work there and will start on her Master's in Public Health this fall. Elizabeth, the younger sibling, finishes UAB this summer and plans to be a Physician's Assistance.
Hope to hear from Classmates. Bass remains my most favorite place of education.
