David's Story
Hi, everyone.
I remember BSSJ with affection. Such an intense time! For a while I kept in touch with Jeff McCord and Gordon Harrison, but that was long ago. In college, I ran into Renee Siciliano at UMass-Amherst, but, again, that was long ago. I still remember everyone with affection.
As some of you know, I didn't pursue journalism, but became a teacher, first in elementary school, then in college, teaching writing and English-as-a-second-language. hich affected my short-term memory, so I had to quit teaching. The way my brain was affected, I can remember BSSJ with some effort, but I'm not sure what happened last week.
Lynn and I have lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, for many years. Our adult daughter Elena lives around the corner. Back in 1993, I published a book of poetry called "Traveling Mercies" with a press called Alice James Books. I still try to do a little writing for my own purposes, and also do a little volunteer tutoring in adult basic literacy.
