D's Story

Life HARRISBURG 1973 I married Donna Reel We have been married now 37 years I think she is still beautiful still has that laugh. Good company .Three daughters and 3 grand daughters and one grandson born Feb 25th 08 I am a Photographer by hobbie and do Video. Went back to school at the age of 29 I have a degree from the Uni. of Kansas 1985 and I have a two year degree from Central Christian College in Kansas.I have a day job at a Hospital that pays for my living. Been to Africa Twice and England Three times. Did work in Haiti April 2010. Was a self employed logger for years, spotted owl took all that away from me. Had to sell off all the equipment to pay off the bills. Both Parents died 14 months apart with cancer about the same time the busness was lost, that was not a good year. Happy and contented most of the time. Only have one crack at this life, I think I should be doing more. I know I don't aways. Have some ideas for some inventions haven't had time to explore that yet. Still working on the plans. At the age of 58 I try to always look forward not back. I went to (1) University (4) Jr Colleges (3) differant High Schools, (1) Jr High, and (4) differant grade schools so I don't have any close child hood friends. My Parents moved a lot. I like to help people when I can if only a word of encourgement. My goal is to try and enjoy the (NOW) everyday!!!!! That does not always happen but I try!!!! I like World War 2 airplanes the best. But anything that flys I'm interested in. I like the view from the tops of Mountains and pan for gold in the valleys. Life is an adventure and I try to enjoy the ride. I try not to be a grump it seems that no one likes a grump...Expand for more
so big smile and lie through the teeth if the pain in my leg is bareable. But there are times that the grump shows through much to my disapointment. I believe hope springs eternal. I have a strong faith in God and his son Jesus Christ. I believe the bible is true if it was false I don't think it would have lasted this long. I don't think the world happened by chance there is not enough time that has passed to account for all the differant types of life on this planet. If it looks like someone made it. Is it so hard to believe that someone did make it? I would rather have the hope in the after life and be wrong, then to think that there was no life after life and be right. Because what will you say then. Sorry God? Read the story it doesn't end that way, but we do get to choose what kind of ending we get to have. I don' think that death is the end. I believe it is just the begining. I have seen the other side of life and it is much better then what we have here. There is much to look forward to. Music I think is for healing the soul. I like Bach the best. Flowers and babies enjoy them when I can. Passion for anything is the color on the canves of life. Live the day, plan for tomorrow, don't dwell on the past, let it teach and then move on. It's the journey not the destination. Our destination will find us anyway. We don't get a no death card. 10 out of 10 people die. I choose to enjoy the moments some moments are better than others. If you keep looking one might find what you are looking for. If you don't look you will never find anything.and you won't see it coming. surprise. Garth Brooks said in the song He didn't want to miss the dance. I agree Let's all dance.
