David's Story
After graduation I joined the CIA and spent several years doing stuff so secret that I cant even let myself THINK about it.. Then, ASAP, using the GI bill, I attended MIT, UCLA and VPI, receiving AS,BS and MS degrees in Biological ultra-linear and cosmic relativity philosophy, commonly refered to as BULCRP (FYI: don't bother to ask, because, OMG, the professors can't explain it either, LOL)....still, it makes a nice vanity license plate for my classic Yugo sedan (my Lamborgini is in the shop....I had a little fender-bender at LeManns, and darn it all, I was leading at the time!). Thereafter, I lived in a treehouse in the Peruvian rainforest for two years, studying the migration habits of the ruby-throated Titmouse, for which I received my doctorate degree, magna mega supra cum laudee-daudee..... as well as a stubborn case of jungle rot. Medical school at Johns Hopkins was next. To supplement my field hockey scholarship, I occasionally filled in on dulcimer and kazoo (forget lead guitar....try playing both of THOSE at the same time!!) for a local bar band called Creedence Clearwater Revival (can you believe they actulally thought that name was cool?)....but the cheapskates must have thought I was born on a bayou or something, and short-changed me all the time, even though I also wrote most of their songs in my spare time. Needless to say, the ungrateful slugs had some kind of si...Expand for more
nister purpose, so I was forced to resign in protest....oh, well....their loss.....no telling how big they could have been with me there. Anyhow, I went on to become an organ transplant surgeon, performing over 20,000 procedures, which, if I do say so myself, placed me on the cutting edge of the medical profession. Some of operations I even did blindfolded just to impress the nurses..... especially on Fridays if I didn't have a date lined up for the weekend (I truly regret if any of your family members were involved.....litigation is still pending). Now into pre-semi-retirement, I often pilot my own jet, also blindfolded and sometimes with one arm tied behind my back (hey, like I told the FAA after the last accident, which was totally not my fault: "its not showing off if you can do it") all over the world to give pro-bono surgical seminars to physicians in impoverished nations..... and to the occasional drunk that stumbles in off the street by mistake. All on a cum se-cum sa basis, of course. (once again, I regret if friends or relatives may have undergone surgery performed by any of those drunken bums.. True... I DID certify them... but, hey... they were paying more attention than some of the doctors!) Other than that.....I haven't done squat for the past 50 years. If I had only done my homework in high school I might have accomplished something. Oh, well, que sera, sera..
