David's Story

Life I attended Texas Tech right after graduation. Big mistake for me. I made it 3 semesters before the partying took over. Did alot of that for the next ten years or so. Finally got my act together and put myself through school at TSTC for aviation maintenance. Now I travel across the country repairing grounded corporate jets. I truly love what I do, am busy and happy! I've been married to Pam since May 2, 2007. Married late in life, but had to wait 38 years before the right one came along. She was definitely worth the wait, as we are so very compatible. We have a house in N Dallas in the Preston/Frankford area. We are truly blessed to have found one another. School I went from class to my locker and back again with little in-between. Don't know why I was so shy back then. I just never did seem to fit in with any group. Oh well, life is sure good now. College First time through didn't work out so well, but I averaged a 3.9 gpa the second time around. What a difference maturity made. Learning was just so cool. up in corporate jet maintenance. I am very happy with my chosen profession and believe this is what I was meant to do. I go to work with a smile on my face and look forward to each and every day that I get to troubleshoot and fix a problem on a multi-million dollar airplane. I've been traveling to repair grounded airplanes since May '08. This is where my career has taken me and what an experience. I get to see places all over the country that I wouldn't otherwise. The hours are long and the pay is great. Just what I needed at this point in my life. Pam and I aren't exactly socially inclined, so my schedule works out great for us. 2020 update: I am now Director of Maintenance on 3 corporate airplanes for a local Dallas businessman. My schedule is extremely flexible and quality of life could not be better. Am blessed to have been a part of every stage in my career. Lost my dad last October, but everybody else is still doing alright. Still live in Dallas in the same house. Jordyn is 11 now and Marcus will be 30 in Nov. What else can I say? Life is good and I have zero complaints.
