Davina's Story
Truly appreciate Classmates as I have been able to reunite with a lot of old classmates from high school and college.
My peeps from NSU:
I have been able to get a hold of my old college roommate after we lost contact when she moved from NY to GA.
I have reunited with another roommate who now lives in Richmond. And was a Kappa Sweetheart with me.
I have reunited with Momma Nupe, lol, she will get a kick out of seeing and hearing that. The lead Kappa Sweetheart when we were merely neophytes....must be the Scrollers turning me on lol.
My Gar-Field Peeps and Neighbors:
Found one of my best friends from high school on here. She has always been the nicest and sweetest person but don't cross her....lol. She moved to NY right after high school back in 1977 and I hadn't seen her. One day at the gas station I saw her brother and asked about her. He explained she had just been here and left going back to NY. Just so happened I joined Classmates around that time and decided to look her up. Lo and behold, she was ...Expand for more
here and we have been talking every since -- exchanging emails, cookouts, etc. I keep saying I am going to Bingo with her mom one day. I know I better get that pan back over there from this past cookout....smile.
Wierdest way I reunited with one of them. My friend's bike had broken down on the side of the highway after he had gotten it out of the shop. He was on his way back to Richmond and I left work to go to the rescue. One thing about bikers -- they look out for each other. Any hoot, when I pull up I see these tags that say STATEN -- I am think ok another person from Staten Island -- my friend is from Staten Island. Any hoot, as we are exchanging hellos the man before me calls out my name, I look up in his face and lo and behold it was Tony. This was all too funny as we had not seen each other since 1977. Was great seeing him.
My old church piano player is also on here. Along with several of my neighbors growing up in Dale City.
I am sure I will reconnect with many old friends, so thank you Classmates.
