Retired from Haverhill Public Schools in 2017 concluding a 38 year career of which 33 was in MA.. Was an assistant principal for four years at Haverhill High School and the Dr. Paul Nettle Middle School. Concluded my career as the middle school attendance coordinator and successfully helped improve the attendance at the four middle schools while supporting the elementary and alternative high school. _Prior to becoming an administrator I taught at Haverhill High school physical education and health. Was the Class of 2006 Class Advisor, the Environmental Club, and a diversity club called STOP-Students Together Overcoming Prejudice. The latter I advised for 18 years and was recognized by the Commonwealth of MA and the Anti-Defamation League for our work in the schools. For fifteen years I was the Haverhill High School advisor to a six high school leadership Program sponsored by the Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative. The goal of the program was to foster friendship amongst students in the Merrimack Valley and breakdown stereotypical views students may have about participating schools. Prior to Haverhill I was employed in Ossining NY supervising an in-school suspension program and coaching cross country, indoor, and outdoor track. Ossining was amongst the elite in Westchester County and Section I and was blessed with some remarkable athletes during those four years. ...Expand for more
