Dawn's Story
School
I attended Mid-County High School (now it's been consolidated and is called Midland) from 1985-1993.
College
I attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL from 1989-1993.
I majored in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science and received two minors in Business Management and Economics. I graduated Cum Laude.
I was a little sister at a fraternity and had a great time during my years at Bradley.
Workplace
My first job out of college was at Andersen Consulting in Chicago, IL. During my years there, I was a COBOL programmer, business analyst and software tester. I worked on a project in Ottawa, Ontario for a year, Stamford, CT and New York for a year, Peoria and the Northern...Expand for more
Suburbs. The travel was fun, but I burnt out on it.
I specialize in building Quality Assurance teams at companies that are introducing the Quality Assurance practice into their SDLC. I also like to build automated testing and use a very effective framework methodology to make the automation reuseable.
I am currently the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Healthation in Darien, IL where I am building out the Quality team for a Medical Claims processing system.
I am not doing what I studied in college to do, but I really enjoy working in the technical industry and building teams. My latest position also allows me the opportunity to travel to San Diego often - it's beautiful out there!
