Dawn's Story
Even though I grew up in Arkansas City, Kansas, I have called Texas "home" since 1999. (Yes, like the bumper stickers say "I got here as fast as I could.") I'm married to David Baird who is one of the funniest yet big-hearted men you will ever meet and between us, we have five children and two bonus-daughters: Justin (Jennifer) Decker, Jason (Bernadette) Decker, James Decker, Joshua Baird and Kelsey Baird. efore I became a pastor, I was the clinical manager of a large San Antonio pediatric clinic until God told me it was time to do something different. And what a ride it has been! I am the founding pastor and lead pastor of a new church start, Cimarron Praise United Methodist Church in Converse, TX. I like to run (I ran my first half-marathon in February 2014), relax at the coast with my husband, drive race cars when the opportunity arises, spend time with our four dogs and ESPECIALLY spoil our grandsons.
