More about Dawn:"I am Dawn (LaPlante - Waterworth) Lavely. I live in Hampton Roads, VA with the love of my life (Todd) and three beautiful children. I have an MBA in Business, and I am finishing up my MAED/SPE program. Hopefully I will be done by next Christmas, but we'll have to see.

My husband is Todd. He is a non-mobster Tony Soprano and the man of my dreams. He is gentle, kind, and loving....He is strong and weak, and I love that in a man. We have been together for 12 years and married for 10! He is definitely the most wonderful partner I have ever had. He respects my thoughts and feelings. He sometimes yells but always is quick to come back and apologize with kisses. He never has raised his hand to me...and I LOVE that. He isn't perfect, but he's perfect for me.
Jake is 18, Emma is 17, and Jackie is 10. My daughter is my princess and my boys are definitely my knights in shining armor. I have everyone's name in my immediate family tatoo'ed on my body. I want my kids lives to be better than my own.
It took me many years to get control of my life and I treasure my independence. I am no longer the rug that others walk on. I now respect myself so others will respect me as well.
I have a few friends that I worship dearly although I may not see them regularly. My oldest friends are my best friends. There are a few in my life that I have a deep connection to and they know who the are. These are the friends that a silly argument or long periods between speaking do not change the power of the friendship. The next time we speak all is forgotten and we pick up right where we left off. I cherish my friendships with those I love and know how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life.
I am accepting of everyone until I am given a reason to shut you out. When I am given a reason, I will shut you out without ever giving you an opportunity to right your wrong.
I am constantly skeptical of my life, I always believed I was supposed to be unhappy forever. My current state of happiness scares me and I am just taking it one day at a time with the understanding that it can all disappear in one moment.".
