Dawn's Story
Life
Married 25+ yrs to Richard (class/82). Two children, grown and out-ha empty nester!
To my fantasic delight, I am a Great Grandma X2, with thanks to my two lovely granddaughters.
Living in NC is certainly a far different experience from the NE. People are far more laid back, and pass the time chatting pleasantly in lines at stores. It took me awhile to learn to curb my faster paced way of life.

I worked in a medical supply warehouse in NC, picking, stickering and verifying or...Expand for more
ders to send out to nursing facilities. My big excitement there was learning to drive those heavy fork lifts, a daunting task for little old me!!!
I worked in the special needs field, both as a cook and teaching them to cook. Very rewarding, and I think my charges taught me more than I could ever teach them.
Aside
I enjoyed riding my baby Honda Nighthawk motorcycle, especially in the fall, when you can smell the grapes. Y'all (said with my Northern accent and laffter) need to add an "other" spot to all your Q & A answers, with an option place to add your own voice!
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were, and I, was wrong.
Chillin' at Emerald Isle, a beach here in NC, is a favorite way to pass leisure time. have an above ground (set deep into a pit) pool that is quite large...swim there regularly.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to retirement funding, then spend the rest on my kids, my parents and fun, in that order.
My current age is 59. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead or at least in pain. I was so completely right...laffing! J/K .
