Life I went from 1st through 12th grades at Lowell. Then, Lane Community College for further accounting and other office adm. skills. I married my high school boyfriend (Dan Burkhart) in April 1960. He was in the Army. I went to New Jersey then to Virginia with him. I had jobs in both places. We had a baby boy at an Army hospital in June 1961. With no forewarning, Dan bought a one-way plane ticket to Oregon and sent me and my baby back to Oregon in Feb.1962. He knew I was two months pregnant. I had a baby girl 7 months later, alone. I had a part-time bookkeeping job in Lowell. After the Army, we moved to Idaho Falls, then to Las Vegas, NV, where we had a baby boy in 1964. In 1966, Dan moved me and the kids to Lowell and he worked in Portland where he had an extended affair with a waitress. We eventually moved to Eugene.
