Dawn's Story
Dawn is from Oxnard, California. Dawn's schools include Oxnard High School, Hueneme High School , Oak Harbor Junior High School, Millington Elementary, Ocean View Elementary School, Ella G. Clarke Elementary School, Dad was career Navy so we moved every 2 years. He retired from Whidbey Island WA and we settled in Oxnard in 1962. Actually lived at Point Mugu from 1957-1959.....
Married in 1970 to David Kauhi Miner (Hueneme '68) have 2 daughters, Kalena and Kahea ....divorced in 1981 and the girls and I moved to Ojai... went back to school and got my AS degree from Ventura Community College (Administration of Justice) in 1987 and in 1991 a diploma in paralegal studi...Expand for more

Music includes Oldies, Hawaiian, Jazz, Big Band, Blues, Country, DooWop...(Ahhh the memories of Acapella Choir and singing in the halls)
I now have a little 10 year old granddaughter who lives in Ojai and I have recently moved out of state to Georgia to help care for my 90 year old father......will always love and miss ventura county...although I come back every six months or so during the tax seasons to help my tax man....
UPDATE.....
It is now August 6, 2015....I have moved back to beautiful Ojai....my granddaughter Lena is now 13 and I have a new little grandson, 1 year old Ikaika....I'm happy and so thankful to be back home!
