Dawn's Story
Life
I went to college in Casco Bay College in Portland right after high school. That didn't go as I wanted. The college was a major wake up called after high school. It was harder then I realize so I didn't get my degree I was hoping to get. Now its 2014, I have 3 sons ages 20,, 13 and 12. I'm also a single mom. Since my husband David passed away on May 12, 2008. Im currently take some classes thru local adult education program for Medical Assistant.
School
When I was in high school. I hate school so much! I couldn't wait get out into the real world. But now I'm out of there I wish I could go back and change a few things. But I guess we can't do that. We live and learn from what we did in the past and moved forward. Only two teachers come to mind believe in me. Mrs Lamb, she listen to me many times when I didn't understand something or just need a friend to talk. Mr Burgress, he was very nice man. He never judge anyone. He was always there for a hug or a smile when you had a rough day.As a class of 1992, I can't remember one or bad part of 4 years. I know we all stood together when it was rough but was th...Expand for more
ere when it was the good times too.
College
I went Casco Bay College. I had some roommates no one would want!! One was a party animal, all she like to is to party. She also ruin my credit! She ran up a phone bill and electric bill I end up paying that off due it was in my name. I had another roommate was from Japan, she was so weird! She wanted things a certain way if they weren't that way she would yell at me and our roommate in her language. She got mad at me once using her "sugar" which I didn't think it was a bad thing but she didn't like it. My last roommate, we were good friends for years but we lost track of each other. I hope someday to find her again. On Saturday nights our dorms used to watch Ren & Stripy the cartoon which I thought it was the stupidest show out there but gave us some good laughs! During the Blizzard of 1993, Forest Ave in Portland was closed due storms. As college students we were bored so we went skiing down Forest Ave. Forest Ave is a major street in Portland, We had a cop tell us go home and get off the streets. But we didnt. We were having too much fun outside in the snow storm.
