Dawn's Story

Life I moved to Worcester and attended Quinsigamond Community and Worcester State Colleges after high school. Then, I undertook graduate studies in psychology at Harvard University Extension School. While studying and in the years that followed before I left the States, I volunteered my time to organize and/or work on several projects related to domestic violence prevention, child assault prevention, the homeless, the needy and the mentally challenged. I worked at UMASS Medical School for six years as a Research Associate in the Forensic Psychiatry Department where I worked on a Risk Assessment Study related to violence in the mentally ill population. After the study was completed, I worked for two years as an Emergency Clinician for a mental health agency. They say being over 40 is "over the hill" but I feel the best of life has just begun. ed to Kyoto, Japan almost five years ago. Now, I have a small psychotherapy practice and my clients include ex-patriates from around the world as well as the Japanese. I am a part-time instructor of English at a couple of Universities. I am very busy with my work, family, friends, and activities in Japan. I enjoy photography and during this past summer, I went to Maine to take a professional workshop in romantic photography. During the workshop, I fell in the water in a quarry where I was photographing nude models. The camera got wet but I was rescued by a nude male model who was a fork lift operator from the Antartic. So, that experience has made for great story telling. I am single and I'm making preparations to adopt a Chinese baby girl. Finally, I wonder how everyone is doing and I would be happy to hear from my classmates. I hope you are all well.
