Daydre's Story
I was in such a rush to grow up, move out, that I just dived in head first without much thinking and started a family. At seventeen I had my first daughter. Right away the father, baby, and myself got our first place together. (Fact: I wasn't one of those kids having babies, only to dump them on my mom whenever I wanted to. My mom made it quit clear from the start that she wouldn't mind baby-sitting once every two months or so. (if that)! Her exact words were.. You two wanted this, now it's your responsibility full time here on out. She called it Tough Love.)
At nineteen we decide to get married because we were pregnant with our second daughter. A part of me knew that this guy wasn't someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Yet I went ahead with the marriage because I didn't want another child born out of wedlock. Also their was this little part of me that wanted to believe that things between him and I would get better.

e's Summit. We made a home for us.
In the end we were having more downs than ups. I filed for divorce in 2001. I was only twenty-five yrs. old.
The hardest part for me was to try to find out who I was and what it was I really wanted out of life. I had lost myself in the every day challenges of being a wife and a full time mother.
Today I am married again. This time to someone that I see myself with for years to come. I can't imagine life without him in it. Him and I had a son together. He also has full custody of his daughter. He brought one child into this marriage. Myself brought three daughters into this marriage.
So all together we have five wonderful children. Come on now, we have a Blended Family. Yes, the children are wonderful but our lives are anything but wonderful these days! A little crazy, little bit chaotic. In the end though I wouldn't change it for the world. Because at the end of each night I lay down with my man who has been by my side from the start and who has been right there beside me for this wild ride we can call life.
